But coordinated efforts to undermine the world’s governments had actually begun decades earlier. Events such as the Black September kidnapping at the 1972 Summer Olympics, the gas shortages of the mid-1970s, the rise of despots like the Ayatollah Khomeini, ethnic cleansing in Rwanda, and other tragedies were all orchestrated by a single organization: the United Nations Restoration Operation. Unknown to the public and operating in secret from within the halls of the United Nations, the UNRO used fear and decay to destabilize the nations of the world. When a rush in trading on the French financial market cascaded into a disaster which bankrupted businesses and countries alike, the very cabal that had fostered the unrest in the first place stepped in to restore order. The UNRO renamed itself the Order of Nations, and their true sinister nature was revealed, as they imposed its control with an iron fist. Yet though the Order’s rule seemed complete, a few brave rebel bands rose against these oppressors.
