What is an MMORTS?

End of Nations is the next evolution of online gaming. An exciting real-time strategy game with all the heart-stopping action and compelling strategic gameplay you've come to expect, End of Nations adds selected elements of modern massively multiplayer online games to expand and revolutionize the RTS genre: unparalleled epic scale, an ever-evolving set of missions in a massive persistent world where your actions influence the outcome of global conflict, and robust customization options.

Is there a single-player option?

Yes, End of Nations offers an extensive and highly detailed campaign that can be played solo or cooperatively with up to 50 other players.

How will multiplayer work in End of Nations?

In addition to allowing solo gameplay, End of Nations features competitive multiplayer choices that support epic battles ranging from 1 versus 1 to 26 versus 26, all for control of a massive persistent world.

Will this game focus primarily on playing against A.I. or against other players?

In End of Nations you get to choose how you play: either battle through a frenetic, action-packed campaign where you go head-to-head with the Order of Nations alone, or fight cooperatively with up to 50 other players. Players can also face off against others in competitive multiplayer engagements that support epic conflicts ranging from 1 versus 1 to 26 versus 26, all for control of a massive persistent world.

What is the Order of Nations?

The Order of Nations is a non-playable faction that serves as a common foe for all players. A totalitarian regime with global influence intent on taking over the world, the Order is dedicated to the oppression of all mankind.

What are the two playable factions?

The Liberation Front is dedicated to restoring freedom for all, and is considered the faction with the best intentions and noblest goals. The Liberation Front will always occupy the moral high ground, doing what is right and just regardless of the consequences.

The Shadow Revolution is composed of former Order of Nations members who feel that the Order's tyrannical rule has gone too far. Sharing similar but less extreme ideals and beliefs with the Order, The Shadow Revolution is dedicated to destroying the Order of Nations and replacing it with what it should have been from the very start: an organization based around strength, security, and justice.

Will there be clans in End of Nations?

Free-to-Play FAQ

Why does the free-to-play model make sense for End of Nations?
For a premium strategy game like End of Nations, we really wanted to bring as many players as possible into its massive-scale strategic warfare. And the more we looked at the enormous battles and huge persistent world, we realized that the success of End of Nations would be driven by having thousands of players from around the globe battling daily in the world’s biggest strategy game.

Is End of Nations going to be pay-to-win?
No. Core to the design of any successful strategy game is that all players are on a level playing field. It will not be possible for players to buy their way to success, where the player with the most money will win. End of Nations favors strategy and skill.

What does a free player get?
Free players get access to the entire game. The campaign, the 50+ person co-op, the “Conquer the World” metagame, the huge 52-player head-to-head multiplayer, everything.

Why are you offering a subscription?
The optional subscription is just a way to offer the best value to our most committed players. End of Nations can be enjoyed entirely without the subscription, but subscribers will get a significant amount of value and convenience extras for their monthly fee. The optional subscription is all about value, but not about gameplay advantage.

Will free players be level capped?
No, the free player will not be level capped or restricted from advancing and improving their units and armies.

What sorts of things will you be selling in the in-game store?
The in-game store will offer a wide selection of items, including customization and convenience items. We will not be selling pay-to-win items that give one player a significant gameplay advantage over another. Most items in the store will be purchasable with either End of Nations Wealth (currency earned in-game by playing) or with Trion Credits (purchased currency).

Will I need real money to play? Will I need a credit card to play?
End of Nations is truly free to play—so no money or credit card is needed to play or succeed. Most items in the store will be purchasable with either End of Nations Wealth (currency earned in-game by playing) or with Trion Credits (purchased currency).

Will there be a retail box? Will there be a Collector’s Edition?
There will be a Collector’s Edition for End of Nations available at retail. Expect it to be packed with a cool selection of both physical and digital extras! The Collector’s Edition will be the only “box” at retail, although we will also have End of Nations prepaid cards. We will also offer a digital version of the Collector’s Edition, with just the digital extras.
